Suzuki Vitara - front- or all-wheel drive compact crossover. The fourth generation of the model debuted in 2014 at the Paris Motor Show. And in 2018, an updated version of the car was presented at an exhibition in the capital of France.

Distinguish the updated Suzuki Vitara from pre-reform chrome curls around the daytime running lights in the front bumper, a new false radiator grille and darkened taillights with a “volumetric” pattern will help. The main visual change in the cabin is a new instrument panel with a color on-board computer display.

However, the Japanese did not focus on the exterior and interior, but on the equipment and engine range. Radar Brake Support (RBS), which is powered by shortwave radar, has been replaced by Dual Sensor Brake Support (DSBS) with a monocular and laser radar, which can now recognize pedestrians to minimize collision injuries.

The list of additional options included a lane control system, blind spot monitoring, an “assistant” when reversing and a traffic sign recognition system. In addition, automatic vehicles are now equipped with adaptive cruise control with the Stop & Go function - Vitara with this equipment can follow the car in front, maintaining a safe distance.

A 1.0L Boosterjet (K10C) petrol turbo engine with direct fuel injection has been added to the Suzuki Vitara engine range. It develops 111 hp. power and up to 170 Nm of torque, and is combined with a 5-speed "mechanics" or a 6-band "automatic". This engine replaced the 1.6-liter naturally aspirated M16A with a return of 117 hp.

At the same time, the 1.4 Boosterjet (K14C) gasoline turbo engine, which was previously installed on the Vitara S, remained in the European lineup. Its power is 140 hp and the maximum torque is 220 Nm. Transmissions: 6-speed manual transmission or automatic transmission of the same range. 

Suzuki Vitara is produced in Hungary at the Suzuki Magyar car assembly plant.
